In the Quercy region of France, Marie-Paule Nadal inherits her father's old farm property. But times are hard and the land is not very profitable. Unscrupulous neighbors are looking for any means to recover these 30 hectares: marry Marie-Paule, offer her a meager profit... But Marie-Paule's heart is set on Pierre, a farmer to whom everything succeeds. But neither of them wants to abandon the land of their ancestors...

A young woman, elegant, cold and inhuman, who is none other than Death, reigns over a universe dominated by electronics, the firm Thanatos Unlimited Corporation. A file in a computer and life stops. But death is also capable of knowing love. Thus she keeps Robert, a worker in eternal youth and forces him to love her until he falls in love with Marie, a barmaid. But can we defy Death with impunity?

The series follows the adventures of lighthearted Jean-Paul Moulin, a police Commissaire, and his team as they solve crimes.

Les Etoiles de Midi is an engaging docudrama about some of the more spectacular exploits of French mountain climbers over the last several decades. In one re-enacted story, there is a wartime escape through the mountains, and in another, a daring rescue of a pair of climbers who had been missing. The actors themselves are adept at the sport of climbing, and they give the scenes an immediacy and real daring that brings the stories alive. A combination of their acrobatics and skill and the outstanding episodes in the history of French climbing creates a winning 78 minutes.
