The Week The Women Went is a television show produced by Paperny Films, and based on a BBC Three program of the same title. The TV series began on September 11, 1994 and ended on December 10, 1995 and was aired on many syndicated stations at the time. 2 seasons were produced with a third season planned, but the show was cancelled despite respectably high ratings due to budget constraints.

It was an offshoot and another alternate sequel of the 1986 feature film with a twist: Connor MacLeod did not win the prize and Immortals still exist post-1985. In fact, original Highlander star Christopher Lambert appeared in the Pilot episode so as to pass the torch to Adrian Paul.
