WrestleMania X-Seven was the seventeenth annual WrestleMania PPV and was presented by Snickers Cruncher. It took place on April 1, 2001 at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, Texas. The event was the first WrestleMania held in the state of Texas. A record-breaking attendance for the Reliant Astrodome of 67,925 grossed US$3.5 million. The main event was a No Disqualification match between Steve Austin and The Rock for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard featured Triple H versus The Undertaker, the second Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and Vince McMahon versus Shane McMahon in a Street Fight. With WWE's acquisition of long-time competitor WCW and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin joining forces with storied rival Mr. McMahon.

WrestleMania 13 was the thirteenth annual WrestleMania. The event was presented by PlayStation and held on March 23, 1997 at the Rosemont Horizon in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. The main event was a no disqualification match between The Undertaker and Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard were Bret Hart versus Steve Austin in a submission match, Legion of Doom and Ahmed Johnson versus Nation of Domination in a Chicago Street Fight.

Survivor Series (1996) was the tenth annual Survivor Series. It was presented by Milton Bradley's Karate Fighters, and took place on November 17, 1996, at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. The main event was a standard wrestling match for the WWF Championship. Shawn Michaels defended the title against Sycho Sid. The undercard featured Faarooq, Vader, Razor Ramon and Diesel versus Flash Funk, Jimmy Snuka, Savio Vega and Yokozuna in a four-on-four Survivor Series elimination match, Bret Hart versus Stone Cold Steve Austin to determine the #1 contender for the WWF Championship, Marc Mero, Rocky Maivia, Jake Roberts and The Stalker versus Crush, Jerry Lawler, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Goldust in a four-on-four Survivor Series elimination match, The Undertaker versus Mankind and The Godwinns, Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon versus The New Rockers, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog.

SummerSlam (1996) was the ninth annual SummerSlam. It was presented by Stridex. It took place on August 18, 1996 at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The Main event for the event saw Shawn Michaels fight against Vader for the WWF Championship. The other talked about matchup had Mankind fight Undertaker in a Boiler Room Brawl.

In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies took place on April 28, 1996 and emanated from the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. The main event of the show saw Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel in a No Holds Barred match for the WWF Championship. Other matches on the card included The Bodydonnas defending the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Godwinns and The Ultimate Warrior defending his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust. The event marked the last televised appearances of the performers behind the Diesel and Razor Ramon characters in the WWF until 2002. It would not be the final portrayal of the Diesel and Razor Ramon characters in he WWF, however: Glenn Jacobs and Rick Bognar delivered a short-lived portrayal of the characters from late 1996 to early 1997, and Nash revived the Diesel character for one night only at the 2011 Royal Rumble.

WrestleMania XII was the twelfth annual WrestleMania. It took place on March 31, 1996 at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California. The main attraction of this WrestleMania was when WWF president "Rowdy" Roddy Piper had announced that reigning champion Bret Hart must defend the title against Shawn Michaels in the first ever "WWF Iron Man Match." Michaels had earned the opportunity to face Hart by winning the 1996 Royal Rumble, and had also defeated Owen Hart at In Your House 6 for the right to keep the WrestleMania title shot

Royal Rumble (1988) was the first annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on January 24, 1988 at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. Unlike the subsequent Royal Rumble events, this event was not shown on pay-per-view and was instead a television special shown on the USA Network. The main event was a two out of three falls match where The Islanders (Haku and Tama) defeated The Young Stallions (Paul Roma and Jim Powers). The undercard featured the first-ever Royal Rumble match which was won by Jim Duggan, Jumping Bomb Angels (Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki) defeated The Glamour Girls (Judy Martin and Leilani Kai) in a two out of three falls match for the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship and Ricky Steamboat defeated Rick Rude by disqualification.

Survivor Series (1988) was the second annual Survivor Series pay-per-view professional wrestling event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place on November 24, 1988 (Thanksgiving night in the United States) and was held at the Richfield Coliseum, in Richfield, Ohio. The main event was a ten-man Survivor Series match between a team captained by The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and WWF Champion Randy Savage) and a team captained by The Twin Towers (Akeem and The Big Boss Man). Hogan and Savage were the sole "survivors" of the match. The undercard featured three Survivor Series matches between mid-card wrestlers.

The War to Settle the Score was a professional wrestling event (with only the last match was shown on MTV) produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It took place at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York on February 18, 1985. The main event featured Hulk Hogan defending the WWF Championship against Roddy Piper. Hogan retained the title after Piper got disqualified in the only match of the event that was shown on MTV.
