The inside story of the 1998 HIV outbreak that tore through the San Fernando Valley adult film industry told by the people who experienced it. Using archival footage and exclusive, original interviews with such recognizable adult performers as Ron Jeremy, Ginger Lynn, Marc Wallice and Tricia Devereaux among other, the film goes behind the scenes of the porn industry as it confronted a deadly disease which was a threat to its very existence.
A snapshot of the porn industry in the San Fernando Valley focusing on a handful of people: Luke Ford, a reporter who breaks the industry's gentlemen's agreement and writes about actors who have HIV/AIDS; Kimberley Jade, a veteran actress who contracts AIDS; Katie June, who arrives in Los Angeles from the South, going on 20, with dreams of becoming a porn star and with her mother's approval; Jim South, who runs a talent agency; and, William Margold, an aging factotum. Others appear on camera to round out a portrait of a busy industry that's lucrative for some and dangerous for others.
The documentary follows Annabel Cong, former record holder for the world's largest gang bang, which she set in 1995 by having sex with 70 men. It focuses on her reasons for working in porn, and her relationship with friends and family. The documentary reveals to the viewers that she was gang raped as a student living in London and describes her many complex emotional issues, including signs of depression, self harm, and substance abuse. The film also includes footage of a painful conversation in Singapore between Annabel and her mother, who until then didn't know about her daughter's porn career.
Documentary follows three young women as they progress through the adult film industry from taking nude photos to acting in hard core porno movies. Also features major adult film producers, directors and actors.
