Higashigaoka High School’s male swimming club presently has only three second-year members – leader Sakaki Shuhei, Shinozuka Daiki and Koganei Haruyoshi. They welcome the new school year with the aim of getting members.

Tsugumi Rinko can't wait to escape the tedium of high school for the challenges and rewards that accompany life at a fine arts college. She only has two problems: 1) She has few social skills and fewer friends. 2) With less than nine months remaining before her crucial admissions test, she has no practical art experience.

This is the story of Tooru Kokonoe who has enrolled at Kouryou Academy, a school which trains students in wielding Blaze, soul powered weapons to prepare them for the Dorn Agency's special peacekeeping corps. When Tooru is partnered with a mysterious girl: Julie Sigtuna, he finds he has to overcome many hurdles to ensure their teamwork and fighting skills are up to par for the duration of their training.

In the world of Hidan no Aria AA, there are special students called Butei who are authorized to carry weapons, investigate crimes and solve various incidents. One of the best of these students is an S-rank second year at Tokyo Butei High School named Aria Kanzaki. On the opposite end of the scale is E-rank first year named Akari Mamiya. Akari absolutely idolizes Aria and wants to become an elite Butei just like her but sadly she just isn’t very good and constantly fails her rank exams. One day she gets the bright idea to submit a request to become Aria’s Amica (assistant), despite her friends telling her that she shouldn’t even bother due to the disparity in their skills. Surprisingly though, Aria decides to give Akari a test, which she not only accepts, but passes! It won’t be easy for Akari though, as before she can officially become Aria’s Amica she’ll have to work hard until she proves her value. Will Akari’s dream ever come true or will she be forced to give up before she even has a chance to get started, and can Aria help this E-rank girl go from zero to hero?

The story revolves around the 38-year-old Shijimi Usa (Watanabe), who is a high school classical literature teacher. Her students are mean to her, but they do not realize that she has another identity. Outside of school, she lies about her age to be active as the super popular 17-year-old Idol Singer Mayu Watanabe, whom the students adore. The show aired on TV Tokyo on Fridays starting from January 13, 2012 to April 7, 2012 with 12 episodes.
