In the present day, the local government of Katori City is in the process of sponsoring a taiga drama about its famous historical figure Tadataka Ino, who is known for being the first person to make a map of Japan in 1821. During the process of of making the drama series, a surprising fact is discovered about the first map. That fact is that Tadataka Ino was not the person who made the first Japanese map.
Yuri Hirai, a female college student, used to photograph everyday scenes with her childhood friend Masato with her hobby camera. One day, information about a party whose sender is unknown arrives at Yuri's home. Although the invitation was a bit dubious, the same thing arrived at Masato, so they decided to join the party with a light feeling. Arriving at the meeting place marked on the guide, there were five men and women of the same generation and one middle-aged man. From there, the eight drive to the party campsite by wagon, where they will be forced to join a party that can never be turned back.
Satoshi, who is a high school junior, is doing something against the rules. He is forming a band. Joining him is Rin. They nonetheless perform at the school's cultural festival live in front of their fellow students. There is a mishap and Satoshi travels back in time to the moment when he met Rin.

To Rhythm Head’s manager, the duo are the perfect vehicle for the band to transition to an idol group, increase their chances of becoming famous, winning accolades and taking away the Japan Music Carnival top prize. Higashigaoka Junior High School is in turmoil as one of the pupils, Noguchi, who had been bullied, attempted suicide last term. On the first day of the new term, a substitute teacher arrives to take the second year class. When the teacher, Murauchi (Hiroshi Abe), introduces himself, the pupils are surprised by his stutter. He has a speech impediment. Unable to speak eloquently, Murauchi faces his pupils with ‘words of truth’. His first instruction to the pupils is to return Noguchi’s desk and chair to the original place in the classroom. Every morning Murauchi greets the empty desk, “Good morning, Noguchi.” This causes a ripple beyond the classroom and among other teachers and parents, but Murauchi will not stop doing it. Eventually the day comes when Murauchi must leave.
