A rebellious teenager Ritika needs money to escape home while her eccentric granny Makhoni wants to travel 500 kilometres in search of a mythical fish for a perfect exit from the world. Both elope together from home one night, chased by one very harried policewoman - Makhoni's daughter and Ritika's mother, Indira.

Local Utpaat is an Assamese action comedy starring and directed by Kenny Basumatary.

Story of 'Chaukdi Gang' and the two men who helped build this gang played by Vidyut Jammwal and Amit Sadh. This gang of four which includes Vijay Varma, is nabbed by the police and serve their time in jail. However, both men who once ruled the drug smuggling, gun-running and looting struggle in their own different ways to escape their past and start a new life after being released.

The movie portrays the soul and real ambiance of Majuli, the largest river island on earth. The movie which opens with a soul pleasing shot of the river Brahmaputra with a ship ferrying, takes us to the river island and introduces us to the unvarying and routine life of Moukon, Luit, Simanta, Joi, Topon, and Bhaskar. Moukon, a young carefree girl finds herself at the center of some mysterious deaths after which she is socially considered a jinx. Simanta, Joi and his friends are well qualified but are still in search of a substantial life. Life is also indifferent for Luit who moves from door to door by selling insurance policies and has no better resolutions for the future. Amidst all the scrambling there is also space for some untainted love stories at the core of Bornodi Bhotiai which takes the movie to its ultimate culmination.

He then heads to Guwahati and punches and kicks his way to the uncomfortable truth - Sabrina might have been entangled in a trafficking ring run by a corrupt policeman.
