The anime industry of Japan is enormous, with 200 new TV shows and two trillion yen in revenue each year. For seven years, soft-spoken yet strong-willed Hitomi Saito has climbed the ranks, and is set to direct a series for the first time. At the same moment, the difficult but undeniably brilliant director Chiharu Oji is set to make his big comeback after almost a decade. The hit series that made Oji famous is what inspired Saito to jump into the anime field, and her goal is to match, and even surpass, his success and relevance. Her chance has arrived. Their two programs are both scheduled to debut in the same prime-time Saturday slot, and after Saito challenges her rival on stage at an anime convention, the two production teams each set out to outdo one another, because there can only be one number-one!

Thirty-year-old Yoshizumi Sohata (Toruko Miura) has never had any feelings for anyone and does not know what love is. Narukawa Sana is a young CEO who founded the startup "Dream Pony" that deals with educational apps when she was 23. Although reckless, Narukawa has a goal and that is to make "Dream Pony" into a unicorn company and that its business is available to everyone all over the world within 10 years. The company did well when it was first launched but Narukawa became frustrated as there hasn't been any huge growth. Narukawa dedicates her time mostly on her work and has been neglecting her private life and romance. One day, a middle-aged salaryman Kotori Satoshi decides to change his job and starts working at "Dream Pony". At first, Narukawa is not fond of Kotori but the two become closer as Kotori helps Narukawa by giving advices based on his experiences. Meanwhile, Narukawa's co-founder Suzaki Ko has been in love with Narukawa but he is unable to suppress his feelings after the arrival of Kotori. The team now gets caught in a triangle between work and love.

Tamogami (Muro Tsuyoshi), an employee of an event company, meets YouTuber Yuri-chan (Kishii Yukino) at a blind date. Tamogami takes pity on Yuri-chan, who is struggling with her view count, and begins to help her with her YouTube channel without asking for anything in return, as if he were a "god. Despite the fact that the number of subscribers is slow to increase, they work hard to stay positive and become good partners. One day, through the introduction of Tamogami's colleague Umekawa (Tatsuya Wakaba), Yuri-chan meets popular YouTubers Chorey and Kabigon (Kaito Yoshimura and Awari), and their "physical" collaboration video suddenly gets a lot of buzz. Yuri-chan also met handsome designer Allen Murakami (Shuntaro Yanagi), and quickly became one of the most popular YouTubers. Tamogami, on the other hand, does his best to help her, but his videos are lame. He is a nice guy, but he has no sense of style... The story takes a turn for the worse when a love affair is about to begin...!

Agetaro Katsumata makes the decision to become Tonkatsu DJ.
