A romantic drama about three couples and their difficult relationships in different stages of life: Kristina and Philip are 16 years old, Line and Jens are 30 years old, Signe and Geir are 60 years old.

Two apartments. In one, lives a couple tired of each other. In the other, young students. The couple becomes aware of a party in the neighbour apartment, and are longing for the life of the youths.

Mats and his friend grew up in eastern Oslo in the 1980s and did not fit in. They have a tormentor that bully them. One day they will have enough.

Erik Bruun (Nils Vogt) milks the social security system by making up a lot of tenants with one social security-entitled defect worse than the other, he starts this after he is fired two years earlier. His wife Linda (Kjersti Døvigen) knows nothing about this, but then one day when social security inspector Fylking (Ole Jørgen Nilsen) suddenly knocks on the door to check the conditions, a huge and increasingly complicated and intricate process starts for Bruun in the hope of avoiding to be revealed.

Seen solely through the refrigerator door, we are witnessing a burlesque tale of infidelity.
