Lee Ji-Young has a positive personality and her dream is to have a happy family and become a writer. Kang Ho-Rim has a great looking appearance and works as an ordinary salaryman.

"Revamped with Korean sentiment," the setting was changed from the original's Edo period to the Joseon Dynasty, during the reign of King Cheoljong of Joseon, and real-life Japanese historical figure Sakamoto Ryoma was replaced with Joseon political figure Lee Ha-eung. The early working title was Time Slip Dr. Jin.

This film is an adaptation based on the 1988 Japanese film Kaisha monogatari: Memories of You, written and directed by Jun Ichikawa. Our hero Kang Ho doesn’t have a family background that makes him stand out among the crowd, but he has plenty of friends who will stand up for him. He never gets discouraged despite all of life’s difficulties. Kang Ho’s high spirits and Mi-ok’s efforts to improve her life give today’s younger generation a chance to look at their own lives and ponder what’s truly valuable.
