Lois Holmes

A young woman, unable to handle the stress of raising a family, runs out on her husband and young daughter. 12 years later, she returns in hopes of rekindling a bond with them.

A television dramatization based on the life and work of Florence Nightingale. The story, set in 1856, relates the incidents in her life following the war in the Crimea, where she had gained such fame that her name was virtually a household word.

Michael Higgins plays an outwardly charming young man who befriends Doris Fesette and her two daughters, Jean Allison and Lois Holmes. The family is vacationing in a resort town, next door to an unoccupied cottage. Higgins sweet talks his way into renting the cottage, so that he may drop in on the family any time he likes. One of those times, he reveals himself to be a homicidal maniac.
