Miran is an unconventional priest who prepares children for the ceremony of confirmation. One of them is Goran, an orphaned teenage boy who enjoys Miran's attention. One day, a new boy moves into the neighborhood, and immediately becomes Miran's new pet student. Goran gets jealous and admits being in a sexual relationship with the priest, which sets in motion a series of unfortunate events.
In search of an answer to that seemingly simple question, Carl, a curious child, sets off on a great voyage of discovery. As one question is answered, more appear. Soon enough, where once stood but a curious boy, a great scientist will rise.
Based on the true story of Max Schmeling. A national hero in the 1930's when he became World heavyweight champion. He lost favour with the Nazi regime when he lost to a black man, Joe Louis, and is sent to the front in the hope he will be killed in battle.
