Edda has been overcome by solastalgia: anguish over the destruction of our planet. Seeking refuge on the North Frisian island of Pellworm, she meets Sophie, a young farmer who is suing the German government for her right to a future, in this artistic, veracious immersion in the lives of the Fridays for Future generation.

Five young people in provincial Germany. They run into each other and away from each other. They kiss and they fight. It’s their last winter together before they leave school, after that it’s stay or go. A feature film debut of enormous intensity.

Zoe, Tomke, and Bruno do not know everything, but they want to discover as much as they can. What they mean for each other and what they mean to themselves, how it feels to stand alone against the world or to trek through the night.

Moritz follows his boyfriend to Berlin and is soon abandoned by him. Alone in the big city, he embarks on a journey through gay affairs and different lifestyles. Only through his new circle of queer friends does he develop his own ideas of sexuality and masculinity, leading him a little closer to himself.
