Souled Out 1997, and also known as nWo Souled Out, took place on January 25, 1997 from the Five Seasons Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This was an nWo sponsored PPV, all of the matches were nWo versus WCW. WCW president/nWo member Eric Bischoff and Ted DiBiase provided commentary. The nWo referee, Nick Patrick, officiated all the matches. No WCW wrestler was allowed to have theme music while the appropriate nWo theme songs played for the various members of the group. The main event featured WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan defending the title against The Giant. Eddie Guerrero defended the WCW United States Championship against Syxx in a Ladder match, The Outsiders defended the WCW World Tag Team Titles against the Steiner Brothers, Scott Norton faced Diamond Dallas Page, Buff Bagwell fought Scotty Riggs, Jeff Jarrett wrestled Mr. Wallstreet, Big Bubba Rogers took on Hugh Morrus, and Chris Jericho competed against Masahiro Chono.

The third Wrestling Dontaku was held on May 3, 1995, in Fukuoka, Fukuoka, at the Fukuoka Dome. The event featured eleven matches, two of which were contested for championships. For the third year in a row, wrestlers from World Championship Wrestling (WCW) took part in the event.

Starrcade (1995): World Cup of Wrestling took place on December 27, 1995 from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The main event would feature "Macho Man" Randy Savage defending the WCW World heavyweight Championship against the winner of a #1 contender's match between Lex Luger, Sting, and Ric Flair. A "World Cup of Wrestling" match was held between the USA's Sting and Japan's Kensuke Sasaki, and was advertised as an international showdown. Prior to his title defense, Randy Savage was matched against Hiroyoshi Tenzan in a single's match. Other matches included Jushin Liger vs Chris Benoit, Lex Luger vs Masahiro Chono, Johnny B. Badd vs Masa Saito, Eddie Guerrero vs Shinjiro Otani, and Alex Wright vs Koji Kanemoto.

Collision in Korea was the largest professional wrestling pay-per-view event ever that was jointly produced by World Championship Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. It took place over a period of two days on April 28 and 29, 1995, but did not air in North America until August 4, 1995, when WCW broadcast a selection of matches from the show on pay-per-view. The event was the first PPV from a North American wrestling promotion to be held in North Korea. The main event was Ric Flair versus Antonio Inoki. Other aired matches include The Steiner Brothers vs Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasaki, Tadao Yasuda vs Road Warrior Hawk, Shinya Hashimoto defending the IWGP Heavyweight Belt vs Scott Norton, and several other matches.

Events included Sting vs Hiroshi Hase, Ron Simmons vs Tony Halme, Ultimo Dragon vs Jushin Liger for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, Dustin Rhodes & Scott Norton vs Masa Saito & Shinya Hashimoto, and IWGP Heavyweight Champion The Great Muta defending his title against Masahiro Chono.

Starrcade (1992): BattleBowl: The Lethal Lottery II took place on December 28, 1992 from The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia. The main event was the BattleBowl Battle Royal for the BattleBowl Ring. The final match for the King of Cable tournament was also held during this PPV featuring Sting vs Big Van Vader. Other matches included The Great Muta defending the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Masahiro Chono, Ron Simmons defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Steve Williams, and Shane Douglas with Ricky Steamboat defending the NWA & WCW World Tag team Championships against Barry Windham and Brian Pillman.

Halloween Havoc 1992 took place on October 25, 1992 from the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main event was Jake Roberts versus Sting in a Coal Miner's Glove match. A second main event was a title defense of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by Ron Simmons against The Barbarian. Steve Williams and Terry Gordy were to challenge the NWA & WCW Wold Tag Team Champions, Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes, however Gordy no-showed the event which led to Steve Austin subbing for him. Another substitution occured when Rick Rude chose not to wrestle twice and defend his WCW US Heavyweight Championship. This led to Big Van Vader defending Rude's title against Nikita Koloff.
