Rookie police officer Yam Hoi is a recent graduate of the police academy. Due to a wave of serial killings, Hoi is partnered with Brother Chin, who was recently reinstated on the force. However, the duo is unable to solve the cases and instead causes a series of incidents. Later, Chin re-encounters a street child, Wong To, who murdered his wife and son, and his anger makes him spiral out of control. Hoi clumsily loses his pistol, which is found by the serial killer. With the killer lurking in the city, a crisis grows closer.

She is a good woman living a fulfilling life. Or so it seems. A caring mother, a capable housewife and a successful career woman, she looks after her mother with dementia on her own. What she needs is a little more space but somehow, she just can't find any. She decides to buy a house since she believes that a bigger place will make her family happy.

Some ground subsidence has occurred in a suburban area and a team of engineers, including Hao, is dispatched to investigate the cause. After days of wandering around in the empty suburb looking for answers and carrying his heavy gear, Hao walks into a primary school where he finds a diary chronicling the story of a boy and the separation of what seems to be an intimate group. As the investigation keeps going, Hao discovers that this diary might contain prophecies about his own life.
