Lonely Noreen daydreams of being whisked away by a square-jawed cowboy, but her reality is far more mundane. She lives virtually enslaved on the family farm in the North of England, with only her father's demeaning comments about her weight as company. So it's no wonder that she pays attention to the first thing that's ever shown her any kindness, even if it is an abandoned 60 year-old talking tractor. Several months after Elena was put to sleep, the Heretics and Lily Salvatore took control of Mystic Falls throwing the town into chaos by terrorizing the population of Mystic Falls. Caroline, Stefan and Matt make a non-aggression pact with the Heretics and evacuate the population. But Damon and Bonnie don't agree at all.

A new vampire hunter appears in town and sets about torturing Enzo. Meanwhile, Damon and Bonnie find themselves stuck in 1994 in a parallel world of the world of the living and are doomed to relive the same day forever.

Since Damon and Enzo are under the influence of the mysterious supernatural force that has escaped from the vaults of the Armory, they attack humans without hesitation. Then, after selecting their victims, they then sadistically deliver them to the Creature, who lives in a blood-filled "pit" in an abandoned warehouse.
