A Chinese couple move in together, but the boy secretly wants the daughter of a top business magnate, and when he tries to kill his current partner to get what he wants, she isn't happy.. in a co-joined storyline, a young tousled hair cop has his buddy cruelly shot down and swears revenge, but is forced to quit the police when his corrupt superior takes him 'off the case'. From then on we get random scenes of bad guys being sent to kill our renegade as he defeats them repeatedly. Neither storyline has anything to do with the other, and were obviously combined for reasons of padding

Like many of Godfrey Ho’s other ninja films (like my favorite, Bionic Ninja), Hands of Death does not disappoint the connoisseur of Bad 1980s Ninja Films. The so-called Purple Ninjas are actually wearing costumes (with outrageous pointy triangular shoulders) that are quite pink. We have come up with a theory that they washed their white costumes with their red "Ninja" headbands and this was the result. Lots of Caucasian characters, confusing plot lines, and garbled motives centered around a valuable gold mine make this very similar to other Ho films, but the main Pink Ninja villain is marvelously over-the-top, with a glazed stare in his over-wide blue eyes and a bad blonde haircut and moustache. Well worth the watch for anyone interested in "ninja" wackiness who can stand the pain and anguish! Ow! Complete with smoke bombs and booby traps.

Villain Bogart and his army of pirates invade a village and kill all the men and women they come across. They cap off the invasion by decapitating the village leader Gundala in front of everyone while Bogart proclaims himself "King Bogart". Those villagers who are not killed are sold as slaves at auctions populated by rich Dutch Imperialists. Years later, Panji and his mother, who were the son and wife of the decapitated village leader, break-up a slave auction and save Mira from a life of servitude. The only problem is that Mira's cure may be worse than the disease, as Mira is believed to be the only girl that can bring down the brutal Bogart, as long as she is trained right.
