A TV film made as a continuation of a popular Serbian TV series "The Storks Will Return".
The plot of this film can be viewed from a two different levels. The first is universal and deals with the psychological theme of need for competition in the group, highlighting the need for the victory, which in life usually does not depend on the true virtues of the winner, so the result is usually tragicomic. The story talks about the choice of the most noble work. Selected participants arrive at the guesthouse on the border between Croatia and Serbia to prepare for the final act of the competition and the jury's decision. Seven competitors have a rather narrow view of the world. Even when the big events, such as ethnic conflicts in this part of the Balkans, the contestants insist to proceed the competition and to choose the hero of heroes, even though the very idea of competition has become anachronistic under the pressure of current events (the anger of the local Serbian population of the newly established Croatian authorities).
A half-mad patriot who shot Avax from the roof of his house captures its American pilot during NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999. The hostage gets romantically involved with his sister while unsuccessfully trying to escape.
A prominent doctor wants to commit a suicide. Two cops chose a wrong way while driving down the road. The suspected one believes that he'll never be caught. His pretty wife who works in a confectionery and she's able only to love. One boy will help them all, but he's not even born yet... Just an ordinary day.

Below their provincial mask, one can reveal the intolerance, strong emotions and passions of a spoiled Belgrade girl and an ambitious small-town lawyer.
A group of musicians, whose band is called "Balkan express", in fact a quintet of small-time crooks , trying to make some money in Nazi-occupied Serbia.
The whole movie is made out of only one cut. It shows how a command is twisted from the moment its was given by a colonel till the time it riches a regular trooper.
A graduated architect, looking for work, leaves for small border town of Subotica full of fresh ideas. He comes back depressed and disillusioned still looking for job. He tries to join his old friends, hoping they would help him to find happiness he wants. He spends one night with his highschool friends, but memories come back to haunt him, old wounds open again... That night, he sees his generation in true colors and he's trying to salvage at least some of good memories. At dawn, one girl commits suicide, one of his friends is taken by military police, the rest are seriously shook up by events. Coming back from police station, he finds a message from Subotica asking him to come back for work...
