He is encountered with the challenge of believing the chastity of his marriage or the doubt in his mind whether his trust has been broken while he was away from home on duty. Rajesh Khanna takes the lead and gets himself killed by Mumtaz to convince him that Mumtaz indeed loved Shashi Kapoor and not him.

But that does not happen, Ranjit survives, rescued by Anju, and he helps her free her brother, Rakesh, from Pratap's clutches. Then some priceless jewelery is placed on display, and a number of gangsters decide to try and steal them, knowing fully well that there is a 24 hour police guard, as well as an alarm system. It is after this robbery that the past will be re-visited and it is then a number of people, on whom Ranjit has depended upon, will come to know of his real background, including the murder he committed before he started his career as a criminal.

One day Shyamu goes to Deepak's house for something and discovers just how identical they are. Unfortunately, Deepak is on his death bed and Shyamu, reverting to his evil nature, "helps" Deepak along on the way to his demise and takes on his identity, even down to learning to copy his handwriting. But not everyone believes the goings on are all above board, especially Deepak's girlfriend and a certain police inspector.

Radha agrees to do so, and visits Harry and his mom at their palatial house. Radha soon wins over Harry's mom, and eventually she and Harry also fall in love. When Meeta's dad, Jagat Murari, informs of his visit, Radha realizes that it is now time to depart, and desperately attempts to contact Meeta, but in vain. Radha then packs up her bags and departs, leaving Harry wondering what this was all about. Harry then comes across Radha, only this time she is with a male named Vinod Kumar, who claims that Radha is his wife.

When she tries to commit suicide again, he accepts her.

One day, Shobha and Ajit's mom have an argument, and Shobha angrily lifts up her hand to slap her, only to be stopped by Ajit, who asks Shobha to leave immediately. Shobha leaves and returns to her father's house, leaving Ajit and his mother behind wondering what had changed Shobha so much, and whether to get Ajit married a second time or not.
