Chuya (Mitsuru Matsuoka) works as a university professor. His big dream is to make a sound map of Tokyo. He spends his days collecting sounds in Tokyo and analyzing the sounds. One day, his girlfriend Fumi (Natsumi Abe) tells him that she is leaving him and mysterious woman Mariko (Yumi Adachi) appears in front of him. Mariko, who knows about the break up of Chuya and Fumi, suggests to Chuya to wiretap Mariko’s life.

Shinshun! Love stories (新春! LOVEストーリーズ) is a 2002 Japanese telefilm starring members of the all-girl J-pop group Morning Musume. Shinshun! Love stories is an anthology film based on three different romantic stories: The Dancing Girl of Izu, Haikara-san ga Tōru and Toki o Kakeru Shōjo. The film aired on Tokyo Broadcasting System on January 2, 2002. A limited edition DVD was released on October 26, 2005.
The star of the show is Rosinante, a lovable Labrador retriever, whose master, a commuter train conductor, dies while Rosinante is spending the night at the impromptu weekend dog hotel a veterinary professor has set up at the university to collect a little extra cash. Minugishi Ayumi (Abe) is a student of Asahina High School, and the lone member of its Track and Field club. She seems hard to speak to, and despite being a good, quiet student, not many people care to know much about her. One day, a fire breaks out in the place that houses all the track and field supplies, and Ayumi is unable to get out. An aspiring member of the club, Hasegawa Sanae, cries out for someone to save her, but Ayumi cannot remember the face of whomever it was who took her out of the fire.
