The Secret Saturdays is an American animated television series created by Canadian cartoonist Jay Stephens for Cartoon Network. It debuted on October 3, 2008, in the United States. Slacker Cats is an animated ABC Family series that premiered on August 13, 2007. It was created using Adobe Flash. The show was initially marketed as a children's show, but in later advertising and in press kits issued to the media, it was clearly indicated that the show included a more adult tone and themes. The show's 10PM broadcast time further illustrated that its target was an adult audience. The program was rated TV-14. Slacker Cats was animated by Film Roman, the same company that animates The Simpsons and King of the Hill. It features the voice talents of comedians Harland Williams and Sinbad in the lead roles. It was created by Andy Riley and Kevin Cecil, who also served as executive producers along with animation director Seth Kearsley, who designed the characters. Slacker Cats was canceled on September 17, 2007 after 6 episodes. A second season premiered on the ABC Family website on January 19, 2009, and, according to its creators, will be released on iTunes and Xbox Live Marketplace. The second season was numbered as a continuation of the first season, episodes 7 through 12.
Raines is a crime drama television series that ran from March 15, 2007 to April 27, 2007 on NBC in the United States. The show premiered as a mid-season replacement, as well as airing on CH in Canada, TV3 in Ireland, ITV3 in the UK, and on Network Ten in Australia. The series focused on Michael Raines, a 'mentally haunted' LAPD detective, who interacts with imaginary manifestations of dead crime victims in order to solve criminal cases. Raines must deal with his unique, unintentional method, as it causes problems with his co-workers and in his personal life. The first two episodes aired on Thursday nights at 10:00 PM Eastern Time during the time slot normally occupied by ER. The third episode aired eight days later, taking up its regular Friday at 9:00 PM time slot. On May 14, 2007, NBC announced its schedule for the 2007-2008 television season. Raines was left off this list, and was officially cancelled.
