Taking us on a journey into the minds and souls of three people, the film is a kaleidoscopic exploration of sexuality, desire and disability. Feature debut by Laurits Flensted-Jensen. The director, who graduated as a documentary director from the National Film School of Denmark in 2013, has directed the shorts 'Snow' (graduation film) and 'Melon Rainbow' (2015), the latter selected for SXSW in Austin. Both 'Snow' and 'Melon Rainbow' were selected for Rotterdam.
ANDRÈ (32) and his newfound girlfriend ELISA (35) are pregnant with their first child. Full of hope for the new life to come, they move to the countryside to get closer to Elisa's mother, MARTHA 63. André wants to provide for his family, so he starts an ambitious microbrewery project. The future seems bright for the expecting family. But instead of bringing them closer together, the pregnancy comes down on the relationship like an avalanche as Elisa develops a psychosis due to the pregnancy. She starts to show sides of her that André has not seen before and disturbing secrets from the past are revealed. André finds himself entangled in a web of lies spun by Elisa and her overprotecting mother, making him doubt his own sanity and ultimately fight for his own and his unborn baby's life.
Zaid is a successful heart surgeon with an expensive apartment and pregnant girlfriend. One night he gets a visit from his brother Yasin, who is desperate for money, but he refuses. Soon after, Yasin is found beaten to death and Zaid is overcome with guilt. As guilt gives way to anger, Zaid becomes a masked avenger and takes on Copenhagen's criminal underworld in his quest for justice.
The Shamer's daughter, Dina, has unwillingly inherited her mother's supernatural ability. She can look straight into the soul of other people. When the sole heir to the throne is wrongfully accused of the horrible murders of his family, it is up to Dina to uncover the truth, but soon she finds herself whirled into a dangerous power struggle with her own life at risk.
