Nanako Hanada works as a manager of a bookstore. Her bookstore doesn’t have many customers, due to the rise of digital formats. Nanako Hanada and her husband Ken are also on the verge of divorcing. Her work life and personal life are equally in rough shape. One day, Nanako Hanada signs up for online dating site AU×AU and leaves one sentence in her profile, which is "I will recommend a book that suits you right now." Whenever she meets someone in person from the dating site AU×AU, she recommends a book to them.

A radio DJ, Mao starts a new program called, "Love Letters from the Drawer" to assist people who need an extra push to send out their simple yet very important message for their loved ones. The show was inspired by her own experience after reading a letter from her father after he died. Through her radio show, various characters come to light as everyone awaits for a miracle to happen. A miracle which can occur only by them expressing their true feelings... The movie is full of emotions and music plays an important part of it. It has a great cast that represent the many faces of love. Parents, sons, lovers, and friends. The movie takes you to several locations within Japan, you can get a look at the beautiful coast and shrine, as well as the city sights

Recovering from a failed love affair Shiyori heads to the country, in the company of best friend and bad girl Aiko. Having taken a long soak in the hot spring they retire to their respective cabins. They soon discover that the tranquil village is the home of a cult with a fetish for cutting off female legs. Trying to escape they are split up and keep in touch via their mobile phones. Multiple points of view and time frames keeps the viewer on their toes trying to discern the grisly fate of these "lost" girls.
