A medium-length film that accompanies all 7 tracks of the album “Pink Honey Rain” by The Bird Yellow. The story, full of visual metaphors, elegant choreographies and an astonishing imaginary, takes place during the farewell party between two people. A bittersweet “so long” that brings a necessary distance and marks both an end and a beginning.
Petra doesn’t know who her father is. Her entire life, it’s been hidden from her. After the death of her mother, she embarks on a search that leads her to Jaume, a famous artist and a powerful, ruthless man. On her path to uncovering the truth, Petra also meets Jaume’s son, Lucas, as well as Marisa, his mother and Jaume’s wife. That is when the story of these characters begins to intertwine in a spiral of malice, family secrets and violence that drives them all to the edge. But fate’s cruel logic is derailed by a twist that opens a path to hope and redemption.
In 1966, Justo Gil arrives in Barcelona as a migrant with the purpose of gaining enough money to give his sick mother the best care. His great charisma allows him to socialize with the youngsters of the upper-class, until an unexpected turn of events makes him become an informer of the political police, in order to pursue communist cells.
Carla gets a call from the small town where she grew up in the South of Spain. Her father, who she hasn't spoken with in many years, is very ill. She refuses to face it and decides, against everyone's opinion, to take him to Barcelona, where she is convinced they'll be able to save him.
Front of Aragon, 1937. The best friend of Lluís, the Soleràs (Oriol Pla), a degraded officer, discovers the fraud and, in exchange for not exposing him, he demands that he move away from the bombings of Barcelona his son and his wife, from whom he is Secretly in love When Trini (Bruna Cusí) arrives at the town, it does not take long to discover the betrayal of Lluís and establishes between them two a "state of war" that will make all moral bases stagger.
In 1938 the Spanish Civil War has worn both armies and destroyed the mood of the people of both sides. The differences between national Republicans however are revealing: The fascist side has the unconditional support of arms and men facilitated by Hitler and Mussolini while the Republican army is ignored by a Europe more concerned of a possible World War than the fate of Spain. Thousands of young people between 17 and 18 rows are called by the republican army. These are the main characters, four young for whom the Battle of the Ebro will be the first direct contact with the war. This film tells the story of these young people forced to leave behind innocence and into whistling bullets.
