The Buddhist temple Mitaki, located a few kilometers from Hiroshima, epicenter of the 1945 atomic explosion, was protected by the surrounding mountains from the radiation that caused the bomb. The film presents the experience of three characters from the city: a young artist, an adult artist and a monk.

Interviews with relevant personalities of Cuban culture who suffered persecution demonstrate that concentration camps for gays existed in Cuba.

Ana María is actually a prostitute whose pimp, Arturo, thinks Carlos would be a good client, and urges her to be nice to him. They fall in love, and Carlos proposes marriage to her, indicating he must return to Puerto Rico soon.

Azucena is a saucy maid whose personality causes many comical situations. These will increase when the family she works for hosts a recently widowed millionaire returning to Puerto Rico after many years.
