Young artist Toomas Haava (Franz Malmsten) returns from Paris, back to his brother's bog farm and wraps himself unintentionally in a conflict with the violent and terrifying Madjak (Märten Matsu), who is harassing a local girl, Hilda (Hanna-Ly Aavik), also known as Wildcat. Enchanted by the mysterious beauty, Toomas finds himself in the middle of a fight for love.

A parody of a classical action film. The sequence of events is launched by a huge cabbage growing on a plot of land that belongs to a poor Estonian peasant woman. This super-cabbage attracts adventures from America, China and Soviet Russia

In the follow-up of Estonian classics "Kevade" (1969) and "Suvi" (1976) the same characters have reached their middle-age. Everybody are living quiet family-life but Kiir the tailor who one more time decides to become a farmer and get married.

Characters familiar from Kevade are now in their 20s. In the beginning of the 20th century, Joosep Toots has returned from Russia, where he learned agriculture. He wants to start reforming his father's farm, Ülesoo. At the same time, he's competing with Kiir to win the love of Teele. Teele has stated that she agrees to marry with a farmer only. So Kiir decides to go to Russia to learn agriculture too.

Semi-autobiographical story by Oskar Luts about friendship, love and life in a small Estonian country boarding school in the late 1800s. Followed by Suvi (1976) and Sügis (1990).

The story of the distressed residents living in poor slums during the economic crisis of the first Estonian Republic in early 1930s. It is the life in the backyard both literally and symbolically. Based on the story "In the Backyard" by Oskar Luts and the drama play directed by Andres Särev.
