Il protagonista, sempre più spaesato, si ritrova circondato dalla premurosa attenzione dei suoi ospiti, fino al chiarimento finale, che genera uno sbigottimento superato da un superbo pranzo di Natale, in cui Mario dimostra la sua bravura di cuoco.
