TV recording of the hommage to the Dutch lyricist Jurrian van Dongen. Van Dongen wrote countless song lyrics for theater and television. He has been writing for the children's program Het Klokhuis for decades. He also writes for theater programs by Wende Snijders, Jenny Arean, Paul de Leeuw, Alex Klaasen and many others. In addition, he was a teacher at a cabaret academy for a new generation of lyricists.
When Molly, the 21 year-old sister of Maarten, departs the family home, she leaves her older brother with empty nest syndrome. Op zoek naar Joseph was a 2008 talent show-themed television series produced by the AVRO in the Netherlands. It searched for a new, unknown lead to play Joseph in a 2009 Dutch revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show was hosted by Frits Sissing, who announced Freek Bartels as the winner of the final public telephone vote on 26 October 2008. It was the second Dutch talent show to be produced by the AVRO/Willem Nijholt, after Op zoek naar Evita. A third talent show, this time called Op zoek naar Mary Poppins has since aired in full and Op zoek naar Zorro will air in late 2010. A similar format has been used as well in the United Kingdom in 2007, with the show Any Dream Will Do taking an unknown singer and placing the winner in the lead role for the 2007 performances in the West End. On June 9, 2007, Lee Mead was announced the winner of this show. It is speculated that a Canadian Edition will be produced in the wake of Mirvish Production's Production of the same musical.

Mooi! Weer De Leeuw was a popular Dutch television show hosted by comedian Paul de Leeuw, that ran from 2005 to 2009. The programme was produced by VARA, one of the contributors to the Dutch public broadcasting group Netherlands Public Broadcasting. Broadcast weekly on Saturday evenings, the programme consisted of surprising audience members by fulfilling wishes that had been sent in by their family or friends, celebrity interviews and variety performances. The show had a distinctive, quirky feel based upon the personal comedy and tastes of De Leeuw. The show had its own small band, led by Cor Bakker, and also featured national and international acts, such as Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Robbie Williams and Adele, who usually performed live in the show in addition to being interviewed. In most cases these acts were supported by the show's house band. Mooi! Weer De Leeuw is probably best known internationally for its notorious appearance in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, where De Leeuw gave the results of the Dutch televote from the programme's studio. De Leeuw, who is openly homosexual, flirted with the male presenter Sakis Rouvas and gave out his supposed mobile phone number. The exchange was broadcast around the world to hundreds of millions of viewers and earned De Leeuw criticism from several of the event's commentators, some of whom refused to translate it.

The film is a cheerful stylized musical comedy a la 8 femmes. The story happens in the guest-house of sister Klivia in one of the Dutch towns. The inhabitants of the guest-house are very cheerful and good-hearted persons whose open communal lifestyle is contrasted with the life of somewhat nasty and complaining neighbor behind the wall heer Boordevool. Boordevool has spent ages looking for reasons to shut the guest-house. One day a girl from the guest-house meets a nice young guy Gerrit. Sister Klivia lets Gerrit stay regardless of him being a thief. Will that give a chance to the insinuations of the neighbor?

This is a movie about a group of young people with all sorts of problems. They all live in some old house with a number of volunteers helping them to get back on track. The young people yell and scream a lot and destroy about every object you get to see in the film. At one point they start singing happily and running down a railway station together, but soon after that, the destruction and name calling commences again until basically nothing of the house is left.
