A novelist (Dina Meyer) moves to a little town to write her next novel. She loves to get inspiration and as time goes by she gathers information about her neighbor, a young and wealthy guy whom she observes and picture from her window most of the time. Soon, she gets involved in a crime and most of the evidence is pointing at her due to her lonely life and life style. She needs to fight to demonstrate her innocence and that's what will be the plot of the movie till the end.
Devon Major thought that his share of difficulties were over. Having gone through a difficult divorce with his wife he was now on the way to rebuilding his life when tragedy strikes leaving him in a fight for his freedom and his innocence. Devons' beautiful ex-wife is found viciously murdered, and all evidence points to Devon. In desperation Devon turns to Susan Grace the lawyer who represented his ex-wife during their divorce. Although initially reluctant and unconvinced of Devon's innocence Susan finds herself agreeing to take on the case and finds that the path to justice can often lead to betrayal, deception and murder.
Arrived to the tropical island of Barsarato to spend a short vacation with her eighteen years old son, Dr. Linda Fleming (Melody Thomas Scott), teacher and expert virologist, is providing relief to people affected by a virulent disease caused by an unknown virus transmitted to humans by chickens. Her generous efforts will be wasted by poor local hospitals and the low cooperation of the people who puts blind faith in Joseph (Ralf Moeller), a sort of healer with exceptional charisma and leader of a religious community that preaches faith in God and enhances the remedies of alternative medicine.
Paul Venters (Craig Sheffer) is a self-centered plastic surgeon who is soon to be married to beautiful Susan (Gabrielle Anwar), but doesn't get along very well with his fiancée's family, particularly Susan's brother Marty (Corey Haim), an ex-con who is trying to stay clean after beating a nasty drug habit. To appease his future wife, Paul tries to mend fences with Marty by inviting him along for a camping trip in the Canadian wilderness. While looking for elk, Paul sees a large bear that's heading towards Marty; thinking the animal is about to attack, Paul fires several shots at the bear, but one of them manages to kill a nearby forest ranger on patrol. Afraid that no one will believe the truth -- especially given Marty's past arrest record -- Paul and Marty cook up a fraudulent story to explain the ranger's death, but when park warden Samantha Wilkes (Jennifer Beals) looks into the case, their web of lies begins to unravel, with dangerous consequences.
Sisters Kate and Megan attend their local wedding fair they jokingly enter a dream wedding package even though they are not getting married. Surprise the sisters win and now must put on a show or be mortified by their champagne decisions.
