Commissioner Leon (Miguel Angel Landa) of the Technical Judicial Police is assigned to the kidnapping of a child of the upper class of Caracas. The details of the kidnapping the attention of Leon, as there is no evidence of violence in the child's home, or witnesses to the abduction. Based on that Leon believes that the hijackers knew the boy and soon begins to suspect several young people from wealthy families of Caracas.
Agustin, a widower who lives in a village in Aragon, where he is much loved by all neighbors, is lonely and decides to go to the big city, where his son, a famous doctor, lives with his wife and daughter. Agustineis received by his children with great coolness, as he does not fit in the environment in which they operate. The life of his son, his daughter-in-law, and even the maid is too sad for this simple town man.
The town of San Felipe is plagued by robberies. Two Federal Agents are sent to investigate the major suspect, a local landowner. One agent works on his ranch, the other becomes his daughter's fiance.

The only work they can find, however, is raised in a castle inhabited by a strange Baron (Fernando Fernan-Gomez) is actually a vampire.
Paquita and her brother Venancio, both single and childish, live in a small town near Madrid. Their bossy eldest sister Ignacia, also an old maid, dominates them. One night, Paquita hears her sister tell somebody about her intention to sell all the family wealth. Once the money is gathered, she wishes to travel to Paris with the mysterious person and get rid of her brother and sister.

Ahead of the debacle that may involve having a "child who eats everything, including food," Josephine teaches the baby still in her womb, higher education courses in order to save some money in schools. Meanwhile, Antonio enters the underworld scene, looking for customers who offer their services as a lawyer.
