Krishnaveni Panjaalai is an Indian Tamil Romance film written and directed by debutant Dhanapal Padmanabhan, the film has Hemachandran, Nandana, M. S. Bhaskar, Rajiv Krishna and Bala Singh among others in lead roles. The film is set in the backdrop of the 1980s and is about the lives of workers in a cotton mill.
The film revolves around the feud between the three brothers over property; two brothers, from their father's first wife on one side with their avarice for all the wealth with the righteous third, from his father's second marriage, trying to stop the family from breaking down. The feud that exists as an undercurrent in the presence of their father and turns ugly and personal after he passes away. It grows bigger with the two brothers joining in to elbow out the third but he graciously steps aside, only wanting to keep cordial relations. But, the two brothers are just not able to handle the huge wealth and the responsibility that it brings. Their wealth attracts trouble and it is up to the third to come back and save his brothers, against others who strive for the wealth while the crux of the plot revolves around if wealth does disintegrate the family.
Based on the Newton's third law, the movie deals with that aspect of man when he throws in everything he's got knowing there is nothing to loose.
A man falls in love with his childhood friend who does not seem to share the same feelings for him; meanwhile another woman is crazy about him.
Life for Lakshmi turns head over heels when Vishnu the new priest's son and priest-in-training, shows up in her village. Lakshmi is instantly intrigued by the new young man in town, and strives to start a relationship with him. Certain antics and innocent clashes follow and both of them fall in love. Later, problems arose due to Vishnu's status in society; i. e. he is a bramhachari and cannot marry. Meanwhile Lakshmi's marriage is fixed with her cousin and she has to go through the ordeal.
