Tananam Tananam (Kannada: ತನನಂ ತನನಂ) is a 2006 Indian Kannada romantic musical drama film directed and written by Kavitha Lankesh. The film introduces Shaam, a Tamil actor, to Kannada cinema along with Ramya and Rakshita teaming up together for the first time, in the lead roles. The film was produced by N. M. Suresh and based on a Tamil short story written by Kalki. The film released on 24 November 2006. The film won two Filmfare Awards in Best Actress and Best Lyricist categories. Noted violinist L. Subramaniam was roped in to play violin bits in the film.

Jagapati (Jagapati Babu) is an orphan and also a loyal henchman of local MLA Goud (Pradeep Rawat). Jagapati loyally protects the interests of Goud and also provides security to him. Incidentally Jagapati turns out to be the local Sub Inspector of Police. He turns the police station into a bar and makes the constables serve liquor. He happens to meet a beautiful girl called Lavanya (Rakshita) and falls in love with her. And Lavanya turns out to be a widow of Murari (Sai Kiran) whom Jagapati kills. The rest of the story is all about how Jagapati mends himself.

A vegetable vendor takes care of an elderly woman and her two young daughters, but he has a dark past that wants to catch up with him.

Lakshmi Narasimha (Balakrishna) is a strict police officer who does not mind making his own rules to bring justice to the public. Once, he was indirectly affected by the goon Dharma Bhiksham (Prakash Rai) which costs him his sister and lots of properties of his native village. But Dharma Bhiksham does not know that it was Lakshmi Narasimha who got affected by him. After a few months, Lakshmi Narasimha is transferred to Vijayawada. Dharma Bhiksham rules the mafia world from Vijayawada. Though, a strict police officer - he compromises with Dharma Bhiksham and takes bribes to the tune of one and half crores. He takes the bribes and then invests all the money into rehabilitating his native village affected by Dharma Bhiksham. Dharma Bhiksham comes to know about it and rebels against Lakshmi Narasimha. The rest of the story is all about how Lakshmi Narasimha puts an end to the life of Dharma Bhiksham using illegal methods.

Dum is a remake of Kannada movie Appu. Sathya is the son of a police constable. He gets into fights and ends up in jail where his own father gets him out of bail. While he was returing home from a party drunk, a group of college students beat him up. Thats when Rakshita comes and takes him to hospital and gives blood. She is the daughter of a police commissioner.

Shivamani (Nagarjuna) is a honest cop in Vizag. He falls in love with Vasantha (Asin), a beautiful lady who aspires to become a singer. There is a mafia guy called Dutt (Prakash Raj), whom Shivamani troubles a lot. Incidentally Vasantha is distantly related to Dutt and both of them belongs to Kerala. In the meantime, Shivamani's mother (Sangeeta) gets paralyzed. Shivamani and Vasantha take her to Kerala to get the treatment of Kerala's Ayurveda specialists. In the process, Dutt gets back to Kerala and he is on the mission to weaken Shivamani by getting Vasantha away from him. The rest of the story is all about how he gets back Vasantha with the help of a newspaper's editor Pallavi (Rakshita).

Chanti is the son of a head constable. Chanti is a guy with carefree attitude. He is beaten by a rival gang at night and was rescued by a beautiful girl Suchitra or Suchi. She pays his hospital bills and donates her blood. She is gone from the hospital by the time Chanti became conscious. When Chanti's friends tell him who rescued him, he starts loving her immediately for her good-heartedness though he did not see her. Suchitra later turns out to be the daughter of the city police commissioner Vipra Narayana. The rest is how he won his Love.
