Kamal is a spoiled, selfish young woman with a grandiose sense of entitlement and the maturity of a four year old. She lives with her father and uncles, and has never heard the word no. During a family wedding, she meets Gurjyot, who is immediately smitten. Their marriage is arranged, and they are promptly engaged. Kamal's father decides to take her to Bangkok to visit her invalid mother, and there she meets Jyoti and Karan. Despite her upcoming nuptials, she falls head over heels in love with Karan, and grows up immediately. She has already committed to someone else, and family honor is not a game she can win.
Majaa in this movie Govindan (Manivannan) is a thief who has two children. Aadhi (Pasupathy) and Mathi (Vikram). Years go by and the two, Aadhi and Madhi, decide to stop stealing and mend their ways and lead a hardworking life along with their father. They migrate to neighboring village and meet a retired agricultural officer, Chidambaram (Vijayakumar) who is in deep debts and is under pressure from the village's landlord, Kalingarayar (Murali) to clear his debts.
Jeeto's husbands is murdered by Bukkan and his men in retaliation for his testimony in court. She senses a great storm coming to save the cowards in the village that do not speak against tyranny. Meanwhile, Jagga arrives in town as a new truck driver for Bukkan's company. He will take action, not words, against the evil he finds.
