Gulis (Lines) follows the story of a dysfunctional father and son — one still coping from a loss, the other with a highly-stigmatized illness — who are compelled to talk to one another to make ends meet and heal the wounds of their relationship.

Two sex workers, a seventeen-year old boy, Gino, and a young mother, Marie, are hired to do a pornographic film. The day before All Saints’ Day, the two travels to a far-flung travel for the shooting. During the shooting, they are made to do acts which have not been agreed upon. Feeling trapped and isolated, the two will be pushed to their limits, to the edge of their dignity. It is a morality tale set in an act judged by society as immoral. It posits the question: When you take away one’s respect and dignity, however, insignificant it may be to us, what is then left of that person?

Oda follows the story of the old maid Sonya, whose family’s business is embalming the dead. One day she finds herself curious and discovers a corpse that changes her life.

It is about moving forward by revisiting the past. It poses that on the twilight of our days, how do we really wait for the sun to set?

Trisha, a Filipino transgender woman, suddenly dies while being crowned in a beauty pageant. Her last wish was to be presented as a different celebrity on each night of her wake.

Dani (played by Maine Mendoza) is a flight stewardess and is Matthew’s girlfriend (a pilot played by Jake Ejercito). They seldom see each other due to their hectic schedule but nevertheless love each other very much.

Natoy, like any other child, finds joy and excitement in the simplest of things, especially in eating halo-halo filled with pink gelatin and red sago. Things change suddenly when, as he is watching television, a news report about the ongoing war in Mindanao shows footage of a badly wounded soldier waiting to be rescued. That soldier, almost bleeding to death, is his father, Corporal Lino Bolante. This starts his journey as he and his mother Sonia wait for help that comes too late. This story does not only show how the war in Mindanao robs a child of his innocence, but also shows the shadows of war that Filipino homes confront everyday.

Early 20th century Philippines. The sounds of war signal the arrival of the Americans. A mother and son flee to the mountains, hoping for a quiet life. One day, the son discovers a wounded woman in the middle of the forest, and decides to bring her home.
