Rosalie Fletcher

Australian docudrama based on the relationship between Prime Minister Billy Hughes and his private secretary Percy Deane during World War I. It was based primarily on Deane's diaries.

In this highly acclaimed short by the director of 'My Brilliant Career' (1979) and 'Oscar and Lucinda' (1997), a young girl is forced to continue working at her machine all day in a 1930s shoe factory after a visit to a backyard abortionist. Cast features Rosalie Fletcher, Eve Wynne, Jenee Walsh, Beth Child, Virginia Partingale, Sue Piggott. Based on the short story 'How beautiful are thy feet' by Alan Marshall.
