Using the language of moving pictures author is searching for the missing shaman, a great master of magic - Šime.

Slavica is living on the margins of society, always skirting borders of what is legal. She is trying to change her ways and to make a living, but it turns out to be an impossible achievement for her. Not having any other means to survive, she turns to stealing, but is quickly apprehended and severely sentenced. She tries to cover her tracks and takes on the identity of Marija, a successful scientist who is preparing her PhD in psychoanalysis. The real Marija learns about this identity theft, which awakens an interest in Slavica's way of life. The two of them switch identities and discover worlds which are sure to change them.

Slavisa suffers from the Alzheimer's disease and his life in the community is becoming more complex, both for himself and for his household. His daughter and son-in-law are of the view that it is time for Slavisa to be placed in a nursing home. Slavisa desperately tries to convince them and show them that everything with him is still all right. With time this becomes more and more difficult to prove.

While scouting locations for a shoot in Belgrade, Jelena, a young director makes up a story about Marija, a professor of political theory, whose dying father has revealed to her some medical files that could be of interest to several intelligence services. Marija has affection for Marko, a student - until she realizes that he had gotten close to her in order to learn her father's secrets. Marko explains that her father took part in Medical experiments in Africa, which led to deaths of many people in the Congo. Marija has no way of checking whether these allegations are true, because her father dies. She is faced with a dilemma: should she give her father's files to Marko or sell them to foreign intelligence services.

On the other hand, his powerful host, Avala Film director and former Yugoslav secret service operative Ratko Dražević, is dreaming big dreams - he is trying to establish a 'Hollywood behind the Iron Curtain' of sorts.

A professor takes a group of students on a trip to an abandoned stage in a park, with the intention of finding a scenic setting for the production of the opera "Narcissus and Echo" by Anja Djordjevic. Boris, one of the students, thinks it would be a better idea a to make a film that uses existing recordings of the opera, but with a new story based on the ancient Greek myth about a young man in love with his own reflection in the lake. The relations between the students involved in the project and the surrounding events meld with the plot of this potential film, accentuating the various narcissism and the overall inability to suppress vanity and find real human contact.

Sonja, once a popular Serbian actress settled in Slovenia is on a short visit to Belgrade. She panics claiming that her daughter Sofia has been kidnapped, then disappears. Inspector Despotovic is assigned to the case and when he finds Sonja, she admits that she made everything up, that she never had a child, and therefore there was no kidnapping. But a Secret Service veteran approaches Despotovic and tells him that the story about kidnapping is true. It is highly classified information. The father of the child is Foreign Affairs Minister. On the other hand, Minister claims that the Secret Service has made everything up trying to compromise him. Despotovic is puzzled... Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? Who is insane? Who is about to die?

Old writer Mihailo tells his dying wife a story about lovers and romances set in different seasons. In order to keep her alive, he talks about other people's romaces, but these are supposed to revive their own love story. The heroes of his stories are couples of different age who let go into frivolty of kisses and delicate game of seduction. Mihailo's wife does not like the stories at all because there is no true moral in it - they keep running around in circles. Mihailo decides to tell a new story that should please her. The heroes of the story are young Milos and Mila. Purified by previous experience the two of them move through idealized city scenes, freed from foul play and cheating-it looks like true love can still be found.
