Mahmut and Abidin work as comedians at a night club, Mahmut is honest yet Abidin is sly. Sulo brings a deaf and dumb girl named Kumru, to working the night club, but the club owner sends her away, she in he sees that Kumru is deaf and dumb. Mahmut wants to help her and brings her to their house. She starts living with them. Kumru starts selling cigarettes and flowers in the club. Mahmut sees a picture in her hand and understands that she is looking for her mother. He decides to help her and finds out that the mother is in prison. Abidin and Mahmut fight for Kumru and Abidin starts to work in a different club with a different partner. Yet Abidin is very sad and decides to commit suicide, but Mahmut saves him. They start working together again.
Hasmet, director of love stories, wants to make a film with a "social content". He makes a deal with the producer Abdulkadir, yet the actress Mujde Ar doesn't accept the leading role, as Hasmet expected. Hasmet gives the role to Jeyan. He starts to shoot with a very limited budget. In the meantime the producer Abdulkadir cheats everyone and runs away. Jeyan fancies Tarcan, who is the leading actor, but Hasmet himself is interested in Jeyan. He first fires both of the out of jealousy, but rehires them out of necessity. With great difficulties, he finally finishes the film. However, nobody appears in the gala and the crew does not like the movie at all. Hasmet feels suicidal, but a phone call brings him back to life: a producer wants him to make a romantic movie - just what he is the master of!

Kirmizi is the Turkish word for red. The Woman in Red was a mid-80s comedy hit which starred and was directed by Gene Wilder. It was based on a French film called "Pardon Mon Affaire" with the great Jean Rochefort in the lead. "Asik Oldum-I Feel in Love" is based on "The Woman in Red" and even has that certain Stevie Wonder which Jack Black so despised in "High Fidelity" in its' soundtrack.

When one of the students get his girlfriend pregnant, the whole class acts together to help him. The mother has to leave the baby for a while with the father, and this leads to a series of funny events.

It is full of joy and kindness, it tells the life of great people, those who love each other with purity, those who share everything and those who care for each other. The music of the movie- which is cheerful when played fast and sorrowful when played gently- is perfect.. Just as perfect as those people in good old times and as the life they represent. The act is so natural that you either find yourself shed tears or laughing as loudly as you can. Every little detail is so fascinating. I do not know what more to say about this film, but it is certainly worth watching again, again and again.

Saban, Ramazan and Bayram are sailors in an Ottoman Navy and Hüsamettin is their commander. Hüsamettin's sister thinks Ramazan is her foster son Saban when she realizes her mistake she introduces Ramazan to her brother as her son in law Bayram since she was afraid of Hüsamettin's short-tempered character. Things get complicated when real Saban and Bayram come to the residence. Now Saban has to be Ramazan and Bayram has to be Saban. Meanwhile, a gulyabani (a ghoul from Turkish folklore) haunts the residence.
