One day waves bring a wooden statue of Lenin to a small town by the Black Sea. The statue is erected in the town square by the Municipality with the hope that it would attract tourists to the town. As an official opening ceremony is planned with the participation of the Prime Minister and a Russian delegation, the statue gets stolen. Two police investigators from Ankara are assigned to find Lenin in twelve hours. Townspeople give an unexpected answer to the question «Where is Lenin?».
Akif Erdem, the physics teacher who is the protagonist of the story, wants to teach his students a “lesson in humanity”. The only thing is – Akif the teacher uses a different teaching method than the teachers we know and are used to. For their last lesson as a class, Akif Erdem holds the students of his 12A class at the Küçükkuyu high school hostage and separates the class from the rest of the school using a bomb. The students and Akif will no longer be able to leave... and Akif the teacher asks the students a question, “Who one among you caused the death of fellow 12A student Kay Örnek?” There is only one way for the young people who have been taken hostage to get out of this situation: to tell the truth!

Adnan (Reha Özcan) has been a widower for nearly five years, but he acts as if his wife passed only a few weeks ago; he's been trapped in a deep funk for years and has become emotionally unavailable to his teenage son Burak (Kamer Celenk). Adnan doesn't fare much better with the rest of the world, and a long series of screw-ups leads to him losing his job as a parking lot attendant and being named in a lawsuit. While Burak has already moved out of the house and is living with sympathetic relatives, he decides he needs his father back and sets out to free Adnan from his doldrums, though that's more easily said than done
Mahsun Supertitiz is an unemployed homeless man who steals cars at night so that he can sleep in a heated place during the winter. Mahsun lives in Rumelihisar, an old section of Istanbul, and makes ends meet by getting the local fishermen to help him. Mahsun loves the cars he robs, cleans and polishes them, and drives them through the streets of Rumelihisar during the daytime.
It is just an ordinary day after thirty-two years. The son confronts the father with all his courage and tells him that he will not live with him anymore but will leave the house. His bag is on his back. He wants to discover both himself and a life he does’t know. But, it will be much more difficult than he thinks to turn this desire into reality.
