They separate due to differences. Krishna (Shyam) is a young cop who is in lookout for a big ticket thief who happens to be Kalyan. Meanwhile, Naina agrees for an engagement with Krishna. The rest of the story is all about how Kalyan wins back his lady love and the real intent behind the robberies of Kalyan.

Divya (Divya Spandana) is an upcoming model in London who meets Sriram (Shaam) an IT guy and falls in love. They sleep together but Sriram leaves her when Divya's boss tells him to stay out of her life if he wants to see her make it big. Divya feels betrayed when she finds out but does not know that her boss is the reason behind the split. Divya does achieve her dream and becomes a top model but is on a revenge romp to wreak havoc in Sriram’s happily married life to Anjali (Sandhya). Sandhya, is a cheerful girl whose only sorrow in life is that she doesn't have a child. And when she finally has a baby after 4 years of marriage to Sriram, Divya comes into her life and takes the baby away, saying that that is her baby. What happens after that forms the climax of the movie.

Inba is a Tamil drama film starring Shaam and Sneha, released in 2008. Inba (Shaam) is a rough character who works under Priya's brother (Arun Pandiyan) as a body guard of Priya (Sneha). Priya is an usurious girl, spending most of the time with her friends and absenting herself from the college several times. Hence Arun Pandiyan employa Inba, his faithful servant to guard Priya's activities. Priya insults him several times since she was not interested in somebody guarding her all the time. Priya falls for Inba,but he rejects it. In the meantime, Arun Pandiyan comes to know about the love affair and opposes it by beating up Inba. Inba opens flash back & rest of story is how Priya makes him understand his love and finally succeeds in his love after crossing all the hurdles and obstacles laid by Arun Pandiyan.

Siva (Shaam) and Sathya (Nithyadas) are collegemates. She is a good friend of Siva. She is always with him, both in his happy and sad moments. When he is in a tight corner, Sathya with the help of her father, helps Siva to come out it unscathed. Their friendship continues even after their college days. The parents of Siva and Sathya mistake their friendship as an affair. In the course of time, Siva marries Sruthy (Samiksha) and Sathya marries Karthik (Jaya Surya). Sruthy soon becomes pregnant but dies of complications in childbirth. Siva is left to raise his son on his own. Many years pass, and Siva's son begins to treat him badly, leaving Siva destitute. At the same time, Karthik informs Siva that Sathya is in her death bed due to heart problems. In due course of time, Sathya dies. The film ends as Karthik and Siva, both widowers, walk together vowing to remain good friends for the remainder of their lives.

Tananam Tananam (Kannada: ತನನಂ ತನನಂ) is a 2006 Indian Kannada romantic musical drama film directed and written by Kavitha Lankesh. The film introduces Shaam, a Tamil actor, to Kannada cinema along with Ramya and Rakshita teaming up together for the first time, in the lead roles. The film was produced by N. M. Suresh and based on a Tamil short story written by Kalki. The film released on 24 November 2006. The film won two Filmfare Awards in Best Actress and Best Lyricist categories. Noted violinist L. Subramaniam was roped in to play violin bits in the film.

Ullam Ketkumae is a 2005 Tamil romantic film directed and co-written by Jeeva, with dialogues by Sujatha. The film features Shaam, Arya, Laila, Asin and Pooja in the lead roles as five college students. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by Harris Jayaraj, while Vairamuthu penned the lyrics for the songs. The story tells the reunion of five friends who were together at college and exploring their relationships during the years. The film released after several delays in 2005 and went on to win critical and commercial success.

Anandh rescues her from an accident and rushes her to a hospital. Over a period of time, they become very close friends eventually leading to Divya Daisy opening her heart to Anandh. Caught in a tight corner, who Anandh decides to marry forms the rest.

Girivalam is the remake of  Hindi Humraaz. Shaam and Tanu Rai are newly married. Shaam is a aspiring leader of a small dance group who wants to make it big and quick. Richard is a young rich businessman who is looking for a dance group to perform in his ship's star cruise. Shaam kills a guy who is the rival dance group leader in order to get the star cruise contract.Richard meets Tanu in the ship and falls for her.  He being rich and handsome, Tanu also slowly reciprocates her love.

Anbe Anbe is a Tamil Family Drama Film. Nambiar and his wife Manorama head a large family with their two sons, one daughter and their spouses and children. Shaam, one of their grandsons, is loved by all while Yugendran, who works in the city, is the black sheep of the family. Shaam and Sharmili, Nambiar's grand daugther fall in love but it soon develops into a love triangle when Yugendran starts believing Sharmili is in love with him and so falls for her too.

Iyarkai is a 2003 Tamil film directed by S. P. Jananathan and produced by A.E.Gunasekaran. The film stars Shaam, Arun Vijay, Kutti Radhika and Seema Biswas. This film was a low-budget production and the soundtrack was composed by Vidyasagar. This love story is set against the backdrop of a lost ship on an island. It enjoyed relative success in the Kollywood box office. The soundtrack was a great hit but most importantly, the film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil for 2003, competing with Virumaandi and Pithamagan as that year's submissions. This movie is loosely based on Dostoyevsky's "White Nights".

As a result he misses the interview, and ends up getting employed as a Garage Mechanic with Madan, his friend. He does meet with the same girl, gets to know her name is Jyotika, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with her mother, Sulo, while her dad is away on business. Both continue meeting not aware that her marriage has been arranged with Pratap. This story also depicts the possibility of Shakthi catching the 12B on time, attending the interview and getting hired, pursuing Jyotika in vain, and ending up in the arms of his co-worker, Priya. Both possibilities end up with Shakthi getting involved in a vehicle accident - and no guarantees that he will survive or wed Jyotika.
