Dian, a Malay girl in a small village, is talented in singing and dreamed of becoming a singer like Lady Gaga. She gets a job opportunity in the city, as a ... helper. She is assigned to a blacklisted householder, Mr. Omar grumpy yet blind young man. Wealthy and talented, his parents were killed in an accident. Both Mr. Omar and Dian experience many things running-in and confrontation, but eventually their relationship gets better, one day he hears she sings.

Mamat and Zul are dim-witted best friends who are obsessed with pro wrestling, and are fanatic followers of a famous professional wrestler - Naga. One day, while watching Naga in a wrestling match and to their horror, Naga was defeated right in front of their eyes. Consequently, the company no longer sees Naga as an asset, and decided to make him lose. Naga too has lost his motivation and now wants to quit wrestling. Unhappy with the results, and believing that wrestling is real, the two friends seek out Naga and vow to help him win the Asia Pacific championship again.

Being of Bugis descent, they navigated the sea with natural ease and were often the favored seamen for international shipping lines. Othman, a fisherman from a small village in Malacca, leaves his family behind to sail the world, with hopes to return home one day with worldly riches and deserved pride. After decades at sea, however, his low wages as a deckhand leaves him disillusioned. He contemplates returning home to his family but ended up settling down in Liverpool, England. 60 years later, his grandson, Ahmad, journeys halfway across the world in search of his grandfather.
