In July 1976, an Air France flight from Tel-Aviv to Paris via Athens was hijacked and forced to land in Entebbe, Uganda. The Jewish passengers were separated and held hostage in demand to release many terrorists held in Israeli prisons. After much debate, the Israeli government sent an elite commando unit to raid the airfield and release the hostages.
This action drama centers on a former CIA operative who grudgingly rejoins the spy game due to the machinations of his one-time student - a screw up who goes to work for the Soviets. As his job drags him deeper into a dangerous and under-handed world, the student wants out of the agency and oout of the U.S.S.R. But the man's choices have made him a target and now both the United States and Russia want him dead, sending their mos able hit men to do it.
After reading the diary of an elderly Jewish man who committed suicide, freelance journalist Peter Miller begins to investigate the alleged sighting of a former SS-Captain who commanded a concentration camp during World War II. Miller eventually finds himself involved with the powerful organisation of former SS members—called ODESSA—as well as with the Israeli secret service. Miller probes deeper and eventually discovers a link between the SS-Captain, ODESSA and his own family.
Katz and Carasso are owners of rival insurance companies, who strongly loathe each other. They seek to sell insurance to the wealthy womanizer Israel Israeli, and use all available means for this purpose: Katz's elder daughter Naomi uses her feminine charms on Israeli, while Carasso's elder son Osi does the same with his actress friend Daniela. Despite the rivalry, Naomi and Osi grow fond of each other. Meanwhile, Katz's beatnik daughter Tiki meets Eliyahu, Carasso's younger son, and they start an affair. The fathers are very displeased from the growing romance between the two couples, and they become even more irritated to find out that they are competing on the same potential client.
Russia, 1905. Tuvia is the only Jew living in the village of Antevka. He is very poor but things change when, as a token of gratitude for a service rendered, he is given a cow and some food. Now, his wife, his seven daughters and himself have access to a better life. Tuvia sells his milk and his butter. Moreover, he is now able to give his daughters a dowry and marry them. But you can't buy happiness...
