The Northern Clan of manufacturers in the era of the great matriarchy celebrates the New Year night for several decades — from the last century to the present day. The beloved fiancee of the clan’s main heir dies and chaos comes to the territory of Northern Fields. The fields rot, because the deceased young woman turned out to be an indispensable element that dissapeared so unjustly and early. However, the Northern Clan has an extra hour, the Thirteenth, when they are stronger than death.
The film’s two main protagonists are Russia’s best saber fencers. One of them has long been in the limelight, the other only recently made it to the national team and has been winning almost every tournament since. The two athletes begin to fight for supremacy both inside and outside of the arena.
Moscow, present day. The city of big money, passion, gorgeous women and wealthy men, receptions and dangerous intrigue. Dasha, an art historian from the province, who came to the capital, dreams of a new, better life, but a mysterious and cruel incident will change everything.
Russian troops occupied Paris. Russia became the first power in the world. Now everything seems possible. Young winners, guards officers, are sure that equality and freedom will come - here and now. For this they are ready to sacrifice everything - position, wealth, love, life ... and the country itself.
A look at the story through the prism of the present. Artists in front of the audience reincarnate in the heroes of the film (the poet Vladimir Mayakovsky; the women he loved and left him; the friends who admired him and backed away from him; the ruthless “Knights of the Revolution” who proclaimed him his banner) and lead the viewer “to” Mayakovsky, forcing him to live his love, creative, and human drama as his own.
Petersburg. A Selfie comprises seven novellas about the beautiful city of St. Petersburg, Russia, shot by female directors. The film tells a story of a real, living and breathing city, rather than a mythical phantasm. Each novella tells its own story about love and loneliness, luck and hope.
In a fashionable bar there are two - a teenage girl and a successful businessman, and between them a conversation begins.
