This time we’re off to North Wales and the historic mill town of Llangollen – home to a Doctor Who exhibition with that little bit more to offer. Llangollen sits alongside the River Dee in Denbighshire and is a popular tourist attraction, not least for its steam railway and awe-inspiring aqueduct. 13 years ago today Blackpool 2 closed its doors for the last time. Some exhibits went back to the BBC prop store for display in future exhibitions. Others were auctioned at Bonhams allowing fans to purchase their own unique piece of Dr Who history. Sadly some props mysteriously vanished and their whereabouts remains a mystery to this day.
