Mukunda is a 2014 Telugu family drama film written & directed by Srikanth Addala. The film was produced by Tagore Madhu and Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) under the banner Leo Productions. It features Varun Tej, in his Telugu cinema debut, and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles with Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj and Nassar in other key roles. Manikandan was the film's director of photography. Mickey J Meyer composed the film's soundtrack and background score. Marthand K. Venkatesh edited the film.
Relangi Mavayya is a gentleman from a small village Relangi and he believes in human values and relationships. He has two sons Peddodu aka Mallikharjuna Rao and Chinnodu aka Seetha Rama Raju. Peddodu is an emotional guy and his maradalu Seetha is in love with him since her childhood. Whereas Mahesh Babu is a witty and charming young man and he falls in love with Geetha, the daughter of Rao Ramesh. But Rao Ramesh ridicules Prakash Raj for his low wealth and this strains the relationships between both brothers. In the end Seetha's marries Peddodu, Geetha's marriage is planned with Chinnodu and Geetha's father apologizes to Relangi Mavayya.
Balu is son of lovable middle-class couple. Swapna is the daughter of a strict and rich father. Both of them study in a residential college located at a small town of Godavari district. Balu and Swapna fall in love. Swapna is withdrawn from the residential school because her father comes to know about her love. The rest of the story is all about how Balu and Swapna try to get back to each other.
