Madly Bangalee is a Bengali rock band that inspires the film’s title. They rehearse in a dowdy garage of Kolkata, owned by Bobby (Lew Hilt), who owns Bobby’s Garage. Four young boys with stardust in their eyes practise their numbers not knowing what they are really aiming at. But the garage is under threat from a South Kolkata don Baburam (Chandan Sen). One morning, an elderly man, San (Anjan Dutt), arrives from "America and Paris." Baaji, (Sumit) the drummer who is a Muslim had to drop out of school. He escapes from the trap of turning a terrorist like his older brother Sultan. He later becomes a police officer who bashes up everyone who tries to bribe him. Neon (Tanaji) plays the rhythm guitar but, sucked into the world of drugs, he disappears from the face of the earth with his guitar. Pablo, lead singer, bass guitarist and lyricist, leaves for the US and the group breaks up. Bobby dies.

Although Sata Bose (played by Uttam Kumar) is the central character of the film, he is not the protagonist in many ways, rather the movie can be described as "hyperlink movie" made long ago than the term is coined.

A family drama with a special focus on two generations of the Chopra family. Dinanath Chopra lives in a small tenement with his wife, and two sons Baldev, and Chandramohan. Dinanath re-finances his house in order to get Baldev to study further and be a doctor, and also gets him married with Rekha who comes from a very wealthy family. Chandramohan studies in college, and has a sweetheart in the form of the gorgeous Asha. Asha lives with her mom, and dad, a sort of quack. Differences in the Baldev emerge and multiply. Baldev and Rekha move to their palatial house. The birth of a baby boy to Rekha does lighten things up a bit, but not for long. Dinanath loses his eyesight in an accident and becomes blind.

She confesses her feelings to Himangshu however he declines her love as he had a similar love failure in the past and did not want a broken heart again. He decides to leave the place and go away. Juthika breaks her engagement, leaves her family behind and chooses to come along with Himangshu, proving all his apprehensions wrong.

A job in the jute mill drive Sitesh away from his brother Nitesh and sister-in-law and lands him into a stream of marriage proposals and attempts by colleagues to make him their son-in-law. What will happen when he falls in love and is not accepted by the father of the girl?

Shudhu Ekti Bachhar is a romantic comedy that is based on a comical situation which finds the female protagonist having to marry a complete stranger according to her father's will. The stranger she is to be married is a funny boy whom she is at cross ends with. The story goes on with this baseline, that they agree to stay married for a year and the comedy rolls on there forth. There are many quarrels, misunderstandings and childlike fights, which all add to the comical content of the movie. All characters add life to the story with hilarious punch-lines and comical episodes. And in the end the two main leads falling in love with each other and living happily ever after.
