The G1 (Grade One) Climax is a professional wrestling tournament held each August by the New Japan Pro-Wrestling promotion. Though it has sometimes been held as a single-elimination tournament, it is usually (and currently) held as a round-robin, with winners from two blocks wrestling in the final to decide that year's winner. In its current format, the tournament lasts four weeks. The winner of each block is determined by a points system; two points for a victory, one point for a draw, and zero points for a loss. New Japan returns to Fukuoka for the annual Wrestling Dontaku event! This time, it will be held as a two night event, which we will likely see a defense of the IWGP Intercontinental Championship and the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The first Night will take place on May 3 and the second Night will be on May 4th.

King of Pro-Wrestling (2017) was a professional wrestling event promoted by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), which took place on October 9, 2017, in Tokyo at Ryōgoku Kokugikan. It was NJPW's biggest show between August's G1 Climax and January's Wrestle Kingdom 12 in Tokyo Dome. The top two matches featured Kazuchika Okada defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Evil and Tetsuya Naito defending his status as the number one contender to the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 12 against Tomohiro Ishii. This was the sixth event under the King of Pro-Wrestling branding.

The World Tag League is a professional wrestling round-robin tag team tournament held by New Japan Pro Wrestling as a spin-off of the popular singles tournament, the G1 Climax. It was created in 1991 as the Super Grade Tag League, as a continuation of a regular tag team tournament held since 1980, gaining the name G1 Tag League in 1999. In 2012, New Japan's new owners, the Bushiroad company, renamed the tournament to its current form. The winners of the tournament, assuming they do not already hold the belts, obtain #1 contendership to the IWGP Tag Team Championship. The 2014 finals featured Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata battling Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson.
Destruction in Kobe (2014) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) promoted by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). The event took place on September 21, 2014, in Kobe, Hyōgo at the Kobe World Memorial Hall.The event featured ten matches, three of which were contested for championships. In the main event of the show, Chaos' Shinsuke Nakamura challenged Bullet Club's Bad Luck Fale for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
The 2014 version of the G1 Climax tournament is scheduled to take place between July 21 and August 10, 2014, with the finals scheduled to take place in Tokorozawa, Saitama at the Seibu Dome for the first time departing Ryōgoku Kokugikan, which housed the finals from every year since the tournament began. With 22 participants, the tournament marks the largest G1 Climax in history. Like the previous year, all events in the tournament were made available on iPPV through Niconico and Ustream. Kota Ibushi was scheduled to take part in the tournament, but on July 18 New Japan announced that he would have to pull out due to a concussion suffered at the beginning of the month. The following day, Tomoaki Honma was named Ibushi's replacement in the tournament.

The event took place on November 8, 2014, in Osaka, Osaka, at the Bodymaker Colosseum. The main event featured a IWGP Intercontinental Championship match between champion Shinsuke Nakamura and challanger Katsuyori Shibata.
NJPW's biggest tournament of the year G1 Climax starts today. With 22 participants in this year's tournament, G1 Climax 24 marks the largest tournament in its history. As with its round robin rules, the 22 wrestler are divided into 2 blocks of 11 where each wrestler will face their opponent in addition to a bye. Each match is worth 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss.
NJPW Road To Tokyo Dome Night 6 took place in Tokyo, Japan on December 20, 2014. The main event was a six man tag featuring Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi & Togi Makabe taking on Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii.

No Way Out was the twentieth pay-per-view (PPV) event under the In Your House name. It took place on February 15, 1998 at the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas and was presented by Western Union. It was the first of a series of In Your House events which later became the title of annual PPVs, replacing the method at the time of making new names for all events aside from the 'Big Four' (the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and the Survivor Series) and King of the Ring. However, because later events did not take place in Texas, it was truncated to No Way Out and would not become a regular feature until 2000. Shawn Michaels did not appear in the main event as advertised, owing to a severe back injury that resulted in his first retirement after the following month's WrestleMania XIV. He was replaced by Savio Vega. The main event was an "unsanctioned" 8 man tag match featuring Steve Austin, Owen Hart, Cactus jack, and Chainsaw Charlie vs. HHH, Savio Vega, Billy Gunn, and Road Dogg.
