WrestleMania XXV was the twenty-fifth annual WrestleMania PPV. It was presented by the National Guard and took place on April 5, 2009 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The first main event was a singles match for the WWE Championship that featured the champion, Triple H, defending against Randy Orton. The second was a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship, between defedning champion Edge against John Cena & Big Show. The third main event was The Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels. Featured matches on the undercard included, Jeff Hardy versus Matt Hardy in an Extreme Rules match, Chris Jericho versus the team of Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat and Jimmy Snuka, and the annual Money in the Bank ladder match featuring Kane, MVP, Mark Henry, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Christian, & Finlay. With an attendance of 72,744, it is the 6th largest attendance in WrestleMania history.

ECW on TNN was an American professional wrestling television program that aired on The Nashville Network. Created by Paul Heyman, the owner of Extreme Championship Wrestling, it presented original ECW matches on Friday nights and was the only national television program in ECW's history. It debuted on August 27, 1999- five years to the date that Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and rechristened ECW as Extreme Championship Wrestling. The final episode aired on October 6, 2000.

Unforgiven: In Your House was the 21st pay-per-view (PPV) under the In Your House name from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). It was presented by 10-10-321 and took place on April 26, 1998 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. This was the first WWF PPV that used the new "scratch" logo for promotional work, while WrestleMania XIV and Mayhem in Manchester have featured the logo on the ring apron, the official graphic still featured the New Generation logo. This event saw the first ever Inferno Match and WWF's first evening gown match

King of the Ring (1996) was the fourth annual King of the Ring. The event took place on June 23, 1996 from the MECCA Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The main event was a standard wrestling match for the WWF Championship. Shawn Michaels competed against British Bulldog, with Mr. Perfect serving as the special guest enforcer. The undercard featured the 1996 King of the Ring tournament. Other matches on the undercard included a WWF Intercontinental Championship match between champion Goldust and challenger Ahmed Johnson, Mankind versus The Undertaker, Ultimate Warrior versus Jerry "The King" Lawler and a WWF Tag Team Championship match between champions The Smoking Gunns and challengers The Godwinns.

In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies took place on April 28, 1996 and emanated from the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. The main event of the show saw Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel in a No Holds Barred match for the WWF Championship. Other matches on the card included The Bodydonnas defending the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Godwinns and The Ultimate Warrior defending his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust. The event marked the last televised appearances of the performers behind the Diesel and Razor Ramon characters in the WWF until 2002. It would not be the final portrayal of the Diesel and Razor Ramon characters in he WWF, however: Glenn Jacobs and Rick Bognar delivered a short-lived portrayal of the characters from late 1996 to early 1997, and Nash revived the Diesel character for one night only at the 2011 Royal Rumble.
