A Block competition in G1 Climax 31 started with some shocking results and some incredible matchups. On September 23, the tournament rolls on to Ota as some look to build on night one success, and some look to get on the board.

After months of anticipation, the tournament of tournaments, G1 Climax 31 finally gets underway this Saturday, September 18. A stacked lineup gets the tournament started, while a Young Lion gets a huge test.

Night four of the G1 Climax 31 campaign sees A Block in action in Kobe World Hall, with four block matches, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion in a non title bout with Yuji Nagata and a special opening contest in store.

NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam in Metlife Dome 2021 is a PPV from New Japan Pro-Wrestling. It is a two-night event in itself on 4 and 5 September 2021. The event was earlier scheduled for 29 May. New Japan Pro Wrestling will be making its return to Ryogoku Sumo Hall on April 4th, 2021 for Sakura Genesis, an event that was once an annual fixture of the New Japan calendar. Due to both their trip to the US in 2019 and the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2020, this will be the first time in three years that this event will take place. The G1 (Grade One) Climax is a professional wrestling tournament held each August by the New Japan Pro-Wrestling promotion. Though it has sometimes been held as a single-elimination tournament, it is usually (and currently) held as a round-robin, with winners from two blocks wrestling in the final to decide that year's winner. This time, it will be held as a two night event, which we will likely see a defense of the IWGP Intercontinental Championship and the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The first Night will take place on May 3 and the second Night will be on May 4th.

Takashi Omura (Hiroshi Tanahashi) was once a popular professional wrestler, but he isn't popular anymore. He now wears a cockroach mask and wrestles as a villain. He is married to Shiori (Yoshino Kimura) and they have an elementary school aged son named Shota (Kokoro Terada). Takashi and Shiori have not yet told their son what Takashi does for a living. One day, Shota finds out that Takashi is a professional wrestler and a villain with a cockroach mask. Shota is shocked and tells a lie to his classmate that his dad is a popular professional wrestler.

Beginning this Saturday, May 21st, New Japan Pro Wrestling will begin their annual Best of the Super Juniors Tournament, which started way back in 1988. Two blocks of eight wrestlers compete in a series of singles matches. The top two competitors from each block advance to the Semi-Finals and face off, before the winners of those matches meet in the finals. The winner of the entire thing earns himself a shot at the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. This year’s tournament runs from 5/21 until 6/7.

The World Tag League is a professional wrestling round-robin tag team tournament held by New Japan Pro Wrestling as a spin-off of the popular singles tournament, the G1 Climax. It was created in 1991 as the Super Grade Tag League, as a continuation of a regular tag team tournament held since 1980, gaining the name G1 Tag League in 1999. In 2012, New Japan's new owners, the Bushiroad company, renamed the tournament to its current form. The winners of the tournament, assuming they do not already hold the belts, obtain #1 contendership to the IWGP Tag Team Championship. The World Tag League is held under a points system, with 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The current format, introduced in 2006, is essentially identical to that of the G1 Climax, with the top two scoring teams from two blocks of five or six advancing to the semifinals, and the winners of those matches battling in the final.

The World Tag League is a professional wrestling round-robin tag team tournament held by New Japan Pro Wrestling as a spin-off of the popular singles tournament, the G1 Climax. It was created in 1991 as the Super Grade Tag League, as a continuation of a regular tag team tournament held since 1980, gaining the name G1 Tag League in 1999. In 2012, New Japan's new owners, the Bushiroad company, renamed the tournament to its current form. The winners of the tournament, assuming they do not already hold the belts, obtain #1 contendership to the IWGP Tag Team Championship. The 2014 finals featured Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata battling Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson.

The G1 (Grade One) Climax professional wrestling tournament is a weeklong event held each August by the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion. The G1 draws standing room only crowds each night, record receipt gates and generates front-page coverage on the sports sections of several of the daily newspapers in Tokyo. Though it has sometimes been held as a single-elimination tournament, it is usually (and currently) held as a round-robin, with winners from two blocks wrestling in the final to decide that year's winner.
