A silent adaptation of the 1778 Beaumarchais play The Marriage of Figaro, with material also used from its two sequels.

The film displays Madame Récamier 's conflict with Napoleon. Twice she was pressed to become one of the Empress's ladies. In revenge for her refusal Napoleon declined to save her husband from ruin.

The film is based on the theatrical work of Alfred de Musset of the same name. In this version, Lysiane Bernhardt (daughter of Sarah Bernhardt) plays the role of Camille.

Jacques Chauvry, the new government delegate for a French protectorate in Cambodia, meets the young Soun who, due to a series of circumstances, will become heir to land that houses a large oil field. Tao , an evil mestizo, along with his minions, tries to get hold of these lands, terrorizing the locals by appearing disguised as the "spirit of evil".

An adaptation of the first part of Balzac's History of the Thirteen, centered on the secret society of the Thirteen and helmed by René Navarre in the titular role of the former convict who became a sublime father.
