Spring Stampede 2000 took place on April 16, 2000 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The main event was a series of tournaments for the vacant WCW Championships. The previous week on Nitro, all titles were vacated and put on the line at this PPV. Rather than list matches, here were the finalists for each title. The US Championship contenders were The Wall, Sting, Scott Steiner, Ernest Miller, Mike Awesome, Booker, Billy Kidman, and Vampiro. Tag Team Championship contenders were Harlem Heat 2000, Shane Douglas & Buff Bagwell, Team Package (Flair & Luger), The Harris Brothers, and The Mamalukes. The Cruiserweight title was up for grabs in a Suicide Six-Way match and Norman Smiley competed against Terry Funk for the Hardcore Championship. The World Heavyweight Championship was between Diamond Dallas Page and Jeff Jarrett.

James Brown made a surprise appearance at the event, performing with Ernest Miller during his in ring skit with The Maestro. The main event was a Triple Threat match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship with Sid Vicious defending against Scott Hall & Jeff Jarrett. Royal Rumble (1998) was the eleventh annual Royal Rumble. It was presented by MCI's 1-800-COLLECT, and took place on January 18, 1998 at the San Jose Arena in San Jose, California. The main event was a casket match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard were the Royal Rumble match, The Legion Of Doom (Hawk and Animal) versus The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and The Rock versus Ken Shamrock for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

No Way Out was the twentieth pay-per-view (PPV) event under the In Your House name. It took place on February 15, 1998 at the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas and was presented by Western Union. It was the first of a series of In Your House events which later became the title of annual PPVs, replacing the method at the time of making new names for all events aside from the 'Big Four' (the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and the Survivor Series) and King of the Ring. However, because later events did not take place in Texas, it was truncated to No Way Out and would not become a regular feature until 2000. Shawn Michaels did not appear in the main event as advertised, owing to a severe back injury that resulted in his first retirement after the following month's WrestleMania XIV. He was replaced by Savio Vega. The main event was an "unsanctioned" 8 man tag match featuring Steve Austin, Owen Hart, Cactus jack, and Chainsaw Charlie vs. HHH, Savio Vega, Billy Gunn, and Road Dogg.

King of the Ring (1997) was the fifth annual King of the Ring. It was presented by Super Soaker and took place on June 8, 1997 at the Providence Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The main event was a standard wrestling match for the WWF Championship. The Undertaker fought Faarooq for the title. The undercard featured the 1997 King of the Ring tournament.

Survivor Series (1997) was the eleventh annual Survivor Series.. It was the third consecutive Survivor Series presented by Milton Bradley's Karate Fighters, and took place on November 9, 1997 at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The tagline "Gang Rulz" refers to the various wrestling stables that feuded with each other coming to this event. The main event was a standard wrestling match for the WWF Championship, in which Bret Hart defended the title against Shawn Michaels. It would be the last of three WWF Championship matches between the two, who had previously headlined the 1992 Survivor Series and WrestleMania XII together. The infamous "Montreal Screwjob" occurred during this event.

Royal Rumble (1997) was the tenth annual Royal Rumble. It was presented by Starburst Fruit Twists and took place on January 19, 1997 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The attendance of 60,525 is the highest recorded in the Royal Rumble's history. The main event was between Shawn Michaels and Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard were the Royal Rumble match, which Stone Cold Steve Austin won after last eliminating Bret Hart, Vader versus The Undertaker, and Hunter Hearst Helmsley versus Goldust for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

WrestleMania 13 was the thirteenth annual WrestleMania. The event was presented by PlayStation and held on March 23, 1997 at the Rosemont Horizon in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. The main event was a no disqualification match between The Undertaker and Sycho Sid for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard were Bret Hart versus Steve Austin in a submission match, Legion of Doom and Ahmed Johnson versus Nation of Domination in a Chicago Street Fight.

The main event was a standard wrestling match for the WWF Championship. Shawn Michaels competed against British Bulldog, with Mr. Perfect serving as the special guest enforcer. The undercard featured the 1996 King of the Ring tournament. Other matches on the undercard included a WWF Intercontinental Championship match between champion Goldust and challenger Ahmed Johnson, Mankind versus The Undertaker, Ultimate Warrior versus Jerry "The King" Lawler and a WWF Tag Team Championship match between champions The Smoking Gunns and challengers The Godwinns.

In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies took place on April 28, 1996 and emanated from the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. The main event of the show saw Shawn Michaels vs. Diesel in a No Holds Barred match for the WWF Championship. Other matches on the card included The Bodydonnas defending the WWF Tag Team Championship against The Godwinns and The Ultimate Warrior defending his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust. The event marked the last televised appearances of the performers behind the Diesel and Razor Ramon characters in the WWF until 2002. It would not be the final portrayal of the Diesel and Razor Ramon characters in he WWF, however: Glenn Jacobs and Rick Bognar delivered a short-lived portrayal of the characters from late 1996 to early 1997, and Nash revived the Diesel character for one night only at the 2011 Royal Rumble.

The main event was a No DQ match for the WWF Championship. Diesel defended the title against Bret Hart. The undercard featured Shawn Michaels, Ahmed Johnson, British Bulldog and Sycho Sid versus Yokozuna, Owen Hart, Razor Ramon and Dean Douglas in a four-on-four elimination match. The Darkside (The Undertaker, Savio Vega, Fatu and Henry Godwinn) versus The Royals (King Mabel, Jerry Lawler, Isaac Yankem and Hunter Hearst Helmsley) in a four-on-four elimination match. Goldust versus Bam Bam Bigelow and Bertha Faye, Aja Kong, Tomoko Watanabe and Lioness Asuka versus Alundra Blayze, Kyoko Inoue, Sakie Hasegawa and Chaparita Asari in a four-on-four elimination match.
